This is where I publish original cryptic crosswords. I have been solving cryptics since August 2024, introduced by Minute Cryptic. After almost a year of solving with Minute Cryptic, I wanted to learn how to set my own. In April 2025, I would use Exet and Crosshare to create cryptic crosswords. And while my original cryptic clues were atrocious, over time I learned, and I am very proud of where I am now. I am looking forward to learning more about the craft, and I would love to expand into setting some variety/themed/barred cryptics eventually! I hope you all enjoy my cryptic crosswords.
The puzzles on this site range from gentle to moderately difficult. I try to write clues that are fair: every wordplay element clearly indicated, every definition exact. I don't always succeed, but that's the standard I'm aiming for.
Occasionally I'll post notes on clue-writing — the decisions behind particular clues, conventions I follow and ones I don't, and whatever else seems worth saying.
